Yeah I've seen a bit about Tera popping up on different sites, looks good graphically.
Not sure about the Elin race but it does look like its right up DJ's alley.
I'm just not keen on paying $15 a month to play it, or anything atm.

So,

Is is what we thought it was going to be?
Especially due to it being Free to play should I pick it up once it is out?

The gameplay is it's biggest asset imo. It's action orientated - there's no tab targeting, global cooldowns or anything like that. If you want to attack something you have to walk up and hit it. Similarly you can dodge/avoid/block mob attacks if you're not a dumbass. It's definitely more skilled based.

Other people explain it better than I do o.O

We'll conduct a short stress test of #GuildWars2 on May 14, from 11AM - 6PM PDT. Pre-Purchasers go here for details
http://www.facebook.com/GuildWars2/post ... 8164094209

We’ll be conducting a stress test on Monday May 14 from 11 AM to 6:00 PM PDT (-7 GMT).

This special test event is open only to Pre-Purchase customers who have registered their accounts. With your help, we can conduct important tests and address some of the issues we identified during our first Beta Weekend Event. During this event, all you need to do is play normally with a new or existing character on your Beta account using the same game client. Please note that since this is a stress test of our servers, you may experience some in-game performance issues. If you’ve pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 and wish to participate in the stress test, we recommend that you register the account and download the game client.

Pre-Purchase customers, log in to the Beta Forums for more information and/or to download the Beta client if needed.

So for us in AU Tuesday, 15 May 2012 4:00 AM to 11.00AM :(

If i rush my ass off Tuesday morning, I might get home from work in time to play for 2 hours...before getting some sleep and waking up to D3 :)

*No I won't. That's 2am to 9am Perth. Earliest I could get home would be about 9 :(

Many of you have been asking about when we will have our second Beta Weekend Event. As we are approaching a long weekend in many parts of the world, we understand that some of you want to make plans for that. To help you with that we can confirm that we will NOT be running BWE2 this coming weekend.

Our BWE1 was super successful, we exceeded our expectations. As some of you might have experienced first hand, this lead to some technical issues. To make sure we are not running into the same situation for BWE2, we recently had a stress test, and we are currently deploying a lot of additional hardware in our datacenters.

We will be able to tell you exactly when BWE2 will take place as soon as all the hardware has been deployed. We are not withholding a date intentionally, we want to make sure that BWE2 will be a really great experience for all of you.

I hope this helps a bit in understanding where we are standing – you all have a really relaxing long weekend! ~MK

i feel there is a few good things about that post

- super successfull BWE1 exceeded thier expecations.
- deploying additional hardware :D!

tad sad there is no bwe but i recon in the long run it will be good :)

I do believe it is!

Your existing beta characters have not been deleted, and you will be able to continue right where you left off! This means that enterprising players with characters level 35 or higher will be able to test their mettle against the explorable version of the Ascalonian Catacombs dungeon!

suppppppp back from a month overseas.

How is GW2? I only got to look at it ingame for like 6 minutes, and the performance was much more sluggish than i expected - possibly just due to it being beta.
