Line of Defense -MMOFPS

Well another MMOFPS is coming along nicely and is also F2P.
Now it isnt a PS2 but could also be worth a look.
Two sides on one planet.
The game supports up to 256 players per continent. When a continent is full, access to it is prohibited.
The game world is built to support the following:
4 planets. Each planet is built to support up to 8 continents, though we are starting out with 4 continents and on 1 planet only.
7 moons. Each moon is built to support up to 8 continents, though we are starting out with 0.
4 space regions (also regarded as continents).
This means that, fully populated, the entire game world on a single server session instance can support between 2048 - 23,552 players.

FAQ has a shite load of info and the game does look interesting.
For those that played it, Planetside wasnt all that well known either when first released.

Its being developed by http://www.3000ad.com/ which released (might be the wrong word) the over-hyped POS battlecruiser 3000AD.

That could be a very bad thing!

haha I've not heard of this Battlecruiser 3000AD but it does sound like something I would have played on the Amiga 500.
I see the link with Derek Smart and yeah it could be a bad thing.
PS2 dont seem too phased by it with TRay saying, "you gonna have to come harder than that sir ;)" in reply to the trailer.

If there is a beta for PS2 before LoD is released it wont matter.
